 How this was kept a secret will go down in history, considering the number of people who knew and somehow did not leak it to Amanda. After being a couple for over 3 years, Nick was finally able to provide a ring that met Nick’s desires for a ring to give Amanda. Over the course of several weeks, Nick searched for the ring and found what he considered to be the perfect ring. On August 4th, 2007 Nick was able to pick up the ring. He used the excuse he had to pick up some stuff for work (which he really did have to do) to sneak out and get it. Originally he had this grand idea of proposing in Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA a few weeks later. Instead he just walked inside their apartment and told her he had a surprise for her. He couldn’t wait…he was too excited!! She of course timidly asked what it was. She was a little scared based on some past surprises, so Nick pulled the ring out and showed it to her. She was speechless and asked if it was for real since there was a running joke of QVC and coke bottle glass. Nick said yes and proceeded to ask for her hand in marriage. |
Ceremony
The Ceremony will be presided over by Reverend Samuel Kofi Ashley. Reverend Ashley is a close personal friend of the Decker family and is a great honor that he is presiding over the ceremony. Live music will be provided by The Pennsylvania String Ensemble.
