Best man - Walter Pelitsch

Walter Pelitsch and his wife Isobel live in Bushkill, Pa with their two cats – Havoc and Riley. Walter is Nick’s uncle and in many ways, was a surrogate father to him. It was Walter who took Nick to his first Yankees and Islanders game. When ever Nick needed anything, Walter was more then willing to do whatever he could to help him When it came time for Nick to choose his best man, he felt there was no other person more deserving then his Uncle.

Lindsey …what can we say. She truly is a great friend. Amanda has known Lindsey for what seems like forever; however the close friendship that they have developed over the past few years is something that Amanda holds very dear.  Lindsey was recently married last year to her high school sweetheart Scott.  Both Scott and Lindsey have been great friends and Amanda and Nick look forward to the day when they move to NC.

Jason Brokaw and his wife Lori live in Pikerington, OH with their bulldog Louie. Jason and Nick first met back in 1995 when Jason joined the crew of the USS La Jolla. Nick also served as a groomsman in Jason and Lori’s wedding. After this years embarrassment by OSU…Jason also still owes us $150!!!

Brad and his wife Dottie (one of Amanda’s Brides Maids) live in Lexington, SC with their two boys Kurt and Pete. Nick and Brad also met in the Navy when Brad joined the crew in Hawaii (notice a trend in Nick’s Groomsmen???). When not working or taking care of his boys, Brad likes to spend his time plucking his nose hairs for fun.

Bridesmaid - Dottie Filiatreault 

Dottie is the wife of Brad (Nick’s groomsman), which is how Amanda and Dottie’s friendship came to be (yes…Brad…we’ll give you some credit).  Dottie and Amanda hit it off immediately and it seems like they’ve known each other for years…even though it’s been just over a year since they met.  Amanda was thrilled when Nick found out that his long lost Navy friend lived so close to us in SC, but she is even more excited to know that she has found such a great friend in his wife.  Dottie…I have an Carmel Apple Martini with your name on it….let’s go girl!!!!

 Groomsman - John Costello 

John… What good can anyone say about John? Amanda vividly remembers the first night she met him in which he got everyone thrown out of Finnegan’s Wake when pretending to be a bartender. At least he was able to keep the tips he made. When John is not learning to tend bar, he spends his days living in San Diego, CA with his wife Anna. Both John and Nick take great pleasure letting Jason know just how much OSU (any Ohio team at that) sucks whenever they can.

Bridesmaid  - Tara Weigl

What’s she look like again?? HA!  Tara and Amanda have been friends for over 6 years but trying to get together has become and ongoing joke.  Amanda worked with Tara at Toys R Us and they have been close friends ever since.  No matter how many days, months or years pass it seems the next phone call starts right back up where they left it.   Tara recently relocated from NJ to TX …she could possibly be the only J-E-T-S fan in the big state of Texas Tara is an awesome girl and I we can’t wait to see her at our wedding!!!

Bridesmaid - Peggy Kasmark

Amanda and Peggy have been friends for over 10 years….can you believe it Peg…10 years!!! Oh the stories we have…of course only a few of them can be told ever again but…hey those days were fun!! Peggy currently lives in Rhode Island with her fiancé John…yes it’s true…they finally got engaged.  They have two kids…Dublin and Guiness. (yes these are dogs…did you actually think they would name their kid after a beer????  Well…maybe…they are Meegan’s)

 Groomsman - Adam Decker  

What good can one say about a person who left behind all love for his home town teams for local sports franchises in the Washington D.C. area?????? Worst of all supporting the Washington Nationals over the New York Yankees, the greatest sports franchise in history of all sports. Then again at least Adam does not follow the horrible sports teams that are in Ohio, like Jason. I have been fortunate to have known Adam 4 years, and look forward to many more years. Hopefully as the years pass, we will get the chance to golf more often and work out a plan to whoop Amanda.

Bridesmaid - Cherlyn Decker

By some twist of fate Amanda’s brother actually found someone who liked him enough to marry him …just kidding Adam..relax.  Truthfully, Cherlyn is a wonderful friend..and sister-in-law.   Amanda is very happy that her brother found someone that loves and cares for him so deeply.    Cherlyn is a great addition to our family and we are excited to have her as part of our wedding. 

“Junior” bridesmaid- Naomi Decker

  Naomi is the daughter of Adam and Cherlyn and is currently 6 months old.  At the rate she’s growing, she may be a full fledge bridesmaid by September.  Nick and Amanda are excited to be an Aunt and Uncle and they can’t wait to spoil her (even more than they do now).
